All you need to know

How much it is and what's included?

Once you arrive at the airport, almost everything is included in the price (so you just need to get to Goa!).  We will arrange your transfers to and from our Retreat, you will spend three nights here with us and the daily workshops, excursions and photoshoots, and 3 meals a day with soft drinks are included. The cost for double occupancy is $1,700.  Click here for the booking form.

What are the dates of the Retreat?

The Retreat activities will run for three whole days, from lunchtime on Friday 29th March to early afternoon on Monday 1st April. Dependent on your flights, you can choose to arrive early, or depart late and we are happy to arrange an extra nights accommodation for you.

Can I book a single occupancy room?

All rooms are unique in design meaning no two are the same, and all have beautiful features of the original building. A limited number of rooms are offered for single occupancy.

When do I need to pay?

You need to pay a 50% deposit at time of registration and then the remaining balance by 1 March 2018.

How do I pay?

Click on the "Join us" button on our website.  Fill in your details and we will then contact you with payment options - either cash, cheque or we will give you bank details for you to transfer the funds to.

How many of us will be attending the Retreat?

We want to be different to other Retreats - our aim is to keep the numbers low so we can provide you with a more intimate environment where you can learn at your own pace. With a low attendee:instructor ratio of 3:1 we can create a more personalised experience.

What level of photography experience is needed for this retreat?

This retreat is aimed at those of you that have a passion for photography.   It will give you a place to come together with your peers and learn new skills with us.  Our goal is to help you to become better photographers, shooting with more vision and heart.

Each of us will share with you our unique way of seeing and capturing the world in this authentic environment.

If you are new to photography and have a basic understanding and know how to use your kit, get in touch.  We will advise you if we think this retreat is suitable for you.

Will there be a business element to the Retreat?

Yes there will - all our photographers work in different ways and with varying clients or audiences so there will be a small group workshop focussed on how to fine tune your business activities.  If you haven't started a business yet we will be able to give you tips on how to get started. If you have no desire to go into a photography business we will have alternate group sessions available to you.

Do I need to bring my laptop or just my camera?

If you want to focus on just creating then we are happy for you to just show up with yourself and your camera. We will talk a little about editing and the final polish we give to images, but creating is our main focus.

You can lock any larger items away in a box in the villa office.

What else should I bring?

We will be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, water and soft drinks and a light afternoon tea.  If you feel you might need snacks in between, we suggest bringing them with you as the retreat location is a short walk from the nearest shops.

Do I need a visa?

Yes you do.  You need to apply for this online prior to travel.  For travel from Dubai recommended time is no less than 5 days before you travel, but you can do this in advance (up to 180 days in advance!).  You need to apply online, pay online and receive your visa via email.  Make sure you have at least 6 months validity on your passport and you have at least two blank pages in your passport.

Once you have booked we will send you an information pack including a link to apply for your visa.

Cost will depend on where you are travelling from.

Is there WiFi at the Retreat?

Yes there is.

Do I need my own travel insurance?

Yes!  You must have travel insurance to cover yourself for personal health, emergency medical evacuation and medical expenses and trip cancellation.  This is standard stuff though for when you travel! Goa has world class hospitals and is malaria free.

Can you cater for special dietary requirements?

Yes of course, just let us know when booking and we will ensure that our chefs are fully aware, and that we can choose restaurants for dinner accordingly. If you are vegetarian then India is a delight for your tastebuds. On payment of the deposit we will be in touch with you so we can ensure we provide everything you need.

Can you help with finding me the best way of getting to Goa?

Yes we can.  At our previous retreat several attendees travelled on the flight on the Thursday evening from UAE and returned on the Tuesday.

If you are travelling from elsewhere, please do contact us and we will do our best to help find you the best route, we can then discuss transfers with you that are included in the price.

What else can I expect from a trip to India?

India is an incredible feast for the senses. Goa is quite chilled compared to much of India, it has a relaxed vibe and stunning beaches combined with incredible lush greenery.  However, it will push you out of your comfort zone and yet simultaneously warm your heart. Be prepared to go with the flow, and embrace the unexpected. We can't wait to take you by the hand and nourish your souls with the beauty Goa has to offer.

I can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds.  We will do what we can to help you resell your retreat space should you be unable to attend.
